Dime Con Quien Andas, Y Te Dire Quien Eres

A Film by Bonte Grangue

PASSWORD:AMERICAN

SYNOPSIS

During Day of the Dead weekend in NYC, Bonte Grangue laments the irony of extensive ICE raids in that very city, targeting the very people who would be celebrating those holidays most, while the city and country also consume and enjoy the culture those people provide during that time.

All the While, Grangue is also coping with the loss of her grandfather, who not only never experienced the bigotry of the presidency that specifically promotes this, but also was, by her own personal definition, incredibly patriotic over America despite being from the border towns that were annexed at the US/Mexico border, where the larger demographic of people struggled to identify with the American label.

This is all to echo one singular thought. There was once a time when America was proud of its melting-pot identity, and the loss of that pride has caused irreparable harm.
